Have you ever visited Rio's Copacabana or Ipanema beaches and come across the Sunga-style swim trunks? If not, don't worry; we're here to introduce them to you. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we do, and we'd love to share the story of how we got started.
Our motivation to create Sunga Me arose from a fundamental need - we were hunting for swim trunks for our vacation. Still, none of the brands we found online met our expectations. Either the quality wasn't good enough, or the prices were too high.
This is where our founders' extensive experience in the textile industry in the United States, Brazil, and Europe came in handy. We were determined to create high-quality products. We started working with textile producers who make high-quality beach polyester with Oeko-Tex certification that have undergone extensive audits to ensure ethical labor and sustainability practices.
Currently, we keep two offices to ensure proximity to customers on which we split our teams. San Francisco in the United States and Lisbon, Portugal.
